looking a lot like no Christmas

Jill picked up a really bad cold when in Aberdeen sat freezing in planes so is feeling sorry for herself.

Yesterday we pottered about and got cabin fever so Jill went for  a quick ' I need to breathe' walk. Then we took a drive up the main roads which are clearto Mavis Grind. Very pretty.

It was then a very early night in the hotel.
Today we tried to head home. We actually got further than last time to the top of The hill coming out of Walls to be met by a road closed sign. We could have  gone the Burrastow way but that was sheet ice.

The cables are still blocking the road.
We stopped in the hall for a coffee. What they are doing is amazing, getting medication and food parcels out, cooking hot meals and providing a warm space.

The village was very pretty.

We headed back to the hotel , as they are no saying Monday for the electricity, a bit despondent as Jill wanted to check on the cats. We will try again tomorrow.
