Fluff balls

After allowing ourselves a day of remembering, yesterday and today where having fun.

Jill was doing her PA day with Mark a bit later than normal so Rob came too and we did some bird watching on the way over.

We started by finding a lovely family group of Red Grouse.

Then we checked Melby beach. It was packed full of waders. Rob got his first patch bar tailed godwits.

We watched for ages before heading to Mossbank to Mark and Sarahs. We did lots of chatting and stayed til late so Sarah could go to work and not worry about his seizures. We had a laugh.

Today we were up early and off to Yell for 3 fluff balls. Northern long tailed tits. They are a subspecies  of the ones we used to get in our garden in Norfolk. They are seriously cute and fun to watch.

Just too cute. There were also Robins , Blackcaps, Yellow Browed Warblers , Goldcrests and Redpolls.

It was great.

We headed back to the Mainland and had a quick check in Sullom wood but didn't get anything new. Just a new fairy house..

We ended the day looking for the Bean Goose at Clickimin but it was hidden up behind a house so we picked up a few bits in Tescos and came home.

There was a lovely sunset.

A very lively couple of days.
