Birding

Bit quieter with guests this week. The house seems sad about it. It clearly likes visitors.

We have made the most of the time.  Local patch stuff.

We had some time on Unst looking for the Blackpoll warbler. Jill had the dentist first so we didn't arrive till after lunch which meant we missed it on the beach and so didn't see it.
There were loads of wheatears.

And we did get a Shetland tick actually, 3

Today we stripped beds and got the cleaning done and then popped to town. The Siberian thrush is still there. It would have been rude not to.

We had the village quiz night, which was fun as always and checked on little spike before bed. He is doing really well and putting on weight. Ordered him a hedgehog box today as won't have time to make one!

Something different

Today was Jills PA day so after dropping our guest into town for the last bit of his stay, it was off to Mossbank. It's not so easy now...
