There it was, gone

Busy house today. We had a few changes of plan as it was still to windy for the roof.

Jim was back, so he put in the last window. Quite sad to see our invented side hinged window go. It has been mighty useful!

It was a bit faffy to get it in, but it's now firmly in place.

Bruce got on with plasterboarding upstairs.

Jill added more caulk in the lobby, sanded and put another coat of paint on. Also, it was off with the old hand rail and in with the new. It's very long so it took two to get it in, only to discover the first one had a crack in it. That one went back and we got another out.

Then it got a bit more exciting. We bashed and prodded to remove the two old windows in the porch and then Jim scampered about on the roof cutting very rusty nails to get the roofing sheets off. It looks really odd now.
