Tiles back on

It's taken a lot longer than planned, but the tiles are back on the roof. Gutters can now go back and chloris put on the tiles to kill the lichen, then ridge tiles back on and  all needs painting.

Jill oiled the new rail and put the trim on the woodwork in the lobby.

Also the wind died enough to try the gate but the concrete round the post cracked. Will need to look at that tomorrow.

Jill also looked at setting up bedrooms. The green room is starting to look ready.

It will be good when the porch comes down it feels like walking through a bunker!

We went out to see Alan for a bit. He is looking well and has very kindly suggested somewhere we can put the stone we need to remove from our trench. We have a broken land drain to deal with and he is also letting us have some salmon farm pipe.

We did have a quick wildlife watch. A few bits around and it is good to see the irises flowering.
