New garden visitor

Friday was the usual hospital appointment day.  Jill fitted in a bit more scraping of paint and sanding before we left.

Appointments all done, we stopped at the marina to eat our packed lunch. It was a bit breezy but there was a nice guillimot bobbing up and down.

We has a lovely evening at the quiz night we actually tied in 1st place. Disney came to our aid again. On the way there was a lovely rainbow cloud.

This morning was actually quite pleasant so Jill got outside to do some bits and bobs,  clearing the gully so the drive doesn't flood, digging a mini trench to drain the new spring on the footpath,  planting some Rosa Argosa and tidying up. The feeders got a good sorting and some new ones went up. Jill also made a rudimentary bird table.

Ran out of fixings for the roofing felt.

Good way of using up some bits and bobs of timber.
When it started raining, it was indoors to undercoat one side of the door  starting to look OK.

Then it was a bit more tidying up in the attic.
Rob got on with some negative scanning.
All in all, a productive day.

Whilst putting the rubbish out this evening, Jill found a lovely new garden bird. A male yellowhammer.
