Surprisingly good day

It was nice. We had a bit of a lazy start and then left mid morning for a spot of bird watching. We didn't go very far today and stayed in one place.  We added coal tit to our Shetland list, finally.

Also firecrest again and Bullfinch, with a fly past blue tit.

The we met up with our friend Penny who very kindly bought us lunch. We have been happy to help her with her house hunting. We had some yummy soup and cake!

Then we had a quick recheck of the area before going to visit the big craft fair that is here every Christmas. Lots of amazing stuff but we do have to say it is very expensive!

When we got home and settled in for some tv, Jill went to check on the chickens and got a surprise to see an early evening, visible to the naked eye , Aurora. Panic stations as it often doesn't last long.! Got a view pictures before it clouded over.

What a good day. We are so lucky!
