Work, but not work

To be honest today's weather was Grim with a capital G. Drizzle, Ha, rain and wind. So, all in all not a great day to take our first wildlife watching day out.

Joris was great company and we managed to fit in quite a few locations but unfortunately didn't manage to find any otters today, the weather was just too bad. We also just missed Orca by 2 minutes. We did find 5 Arctic Skuas at Melby, quite a few gannets, Seals, Red throated divers, Hare, Red Grouse, Red Breasted Merganser, and the usual Wheatears, Curlews, Oystercatchers, Gulls etc.

Just starting to dry out!

We dropped of Joris at the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage at Sumburgh at the end of the day so had a Peerie look for Tammy Norries. It was very windy and Jill was delighted to find one messing about in the wind. Updrafting. It was comical.

Not sure what Bruce has done today as we cant see much. Got home late to find lots of the electrics not working again. Electricians have been in. It's the 2nd time we have come home to things not working as they should after one of their visits. Very disappointing and dangerous for Rob. No cooker or anything in the kitchen including fridge, freezer, microwave and TV. No lights or hot water in the bathroom. No lights in the hallway. Not trying upstairs  too dark. Also, not a good day ( windy and 9 degrees) to leave both main outside doors wide open. Blinking cold in the house now. Sigh
