Good start to the day, even though we still had no electrics in the kitchen and bathroom. Bruce headed upstairs to start working on the coving. He put bulbs in the new lights too, but then we realised they hadn't been connected up. Rob phoned the electricians who never returned the call nor popped over to fix it. Very disappointed as we have spent lots of money with them. In the end we switched everything back on ourselves but it was a bit of a worry.
David arrived with the digger which was exciting. He was due to dig out the parking area and 2 post holes but also very kindly positioned the crate for us and moved the gravel ( in about 20 minutes, would have taken Jill hours). All very skillfully done.
We will be able to park two cars when it's totally finished.
David dug out a lot of debris including, of course, more nets. We also pulled out the two that were well overgrown on the corner. There was an old scaffolding pole underneath.
It was a better day but we had a few showers.
Alans team arrived to start cutting the fields this afternoon so we had moved the crate just in time.
Before the shop shut, Jill headed off to get some milk and cake. The sileage fields had lits of black headed gulls on them. One if the fields near the house also had around 200 Golden Plover on it.
A productive day.
