Foundations

 This morning started well with 14 Ravens over the house.


Then the hard work started. Jill continued taking out nails so it was about half done when Michael and Bruce arrived. The floor had to come up to get to the joists which are a bit rotten at the ends due to historically leaking windows and walls. It was fascinating seeing underneath the house and we didn't know what it would be like. It's actually pretty good. There is also a nice victorian grate allowing the house to breathe.






As the floor is up we are taking the extra time to insulate under the floor.
