Got up early. It was 9 degrees. Jill left Rob eating breakfast and did a tesco run to restock some of the freezer.
Driving home was an eye-opener. The snow had all melted in about 30 mins and the burns were all bursting banks. These pictures still on the camera will look at those tomorrow. Got home to find the lads back but this is where the S*** comes in. The sheer volume of snow melting on the road and garden in such as tiny time scale had meant it had poured into the porch and under the front door, flooding the downstairs with lots of water. Jill came in to Bruce and Michael cleaning up as best they could.
There was a bit if laughter when Michael said he was worried it was coming up from underneath as he was filling the bucket and it was still pooling, until he realised the bucket had a hole in it ! So very grateful to the two of them I think Jill would finally have broken if it had been seen at its worst.
Dehumidifier on and heaters everywhere. House has warmed up quickly though!
It was getting a bit much by the end of the day as Jill is still poorly and had a mini breakdown trying to change the bedlinen for the cats to just walk over it again! ( Dr's tomorrow, thankfully you can do that up here)
Let's see what tomorrow brings.
