We were all packed and ready to leave with the cats in their baskets ( surprisingly easy considering we can't stop them hiding with so few internal doors) when we heard the ferry was cancelled due to the continued bad weather. Part relieved it would have been a bumpy ride.
It stayed windy all day so we stayed in for the morning after making lots of calls. Ferry rebooked for next Thursday, although no cabin 😕. Travelodge dates changed and cattery rebooked. Just a few extra days to wait.
Michael and Bruce nearly finished the peerie corridor and have put the insulation in. We have decided to order some recess lights for it.
We went to Lerwick for a check on Robs foot and picked up some V Lining panels to go on the walls in there. They were a wee bit long to go in the car but we managed to get them vack.
Jill worked on the room upstairs. The green paint we had was too dark but with a bit of mixing it works.
The other walls will get painted over the weekend.
The one bonus of the cancellation was that it meant we were able to go to the village quiz. We teamed up again with our new friends Malcolm and Christine and came 2nd which we were very pleased with. It was still wind and actually quite cold but Jill thought she could see a glimmer over the house. Big camera still packed so a quick mobile snap and dash inside to warm up.
It's supposed to be a good show tomorrow so hopefully it will be clear.
