Bit chilly

The temperature has dropped and it is still very windy - gale force. Getting up this morning was a bit uncomfortable as you could breathe steam in the house. The middle section was really cold where the chaps are replacing the boarding in the corridor.

We went into Lerwick for Rob to see the cardiologist. Really nice chap but The N and N still haven't sent the notes up which is pretty poor considering the surgery he had. You would think they would want to see continuation of care!

The ferry was cancelled again today and you could see why.

We still don't know if it can go tomorrow. We will hear in the morning. Hope it goes as we are looking forward to seeing the girls. It was interesting feeding the chickens today. The wind was making the watering can sing.

Co-op was running out of lots of items as it is now 3 days with no ferry.

Michael and Bruce did a grand job on building the frame and supports for the corridor. We also blocked the howling gale coming in  with rockwool and foam. It's starting to feel a bit warmer in the middle now.

Jill managed to get two coats on the ceiling upstairs and put a 2nd coat of pva on the floor to seal it. It seems to have made a big difference with the smell.

The cats are all getting fed up with the wind as they won't go out in it. Apparently its our fault they can't go out.

Patrick from next door, came by to say goodbye today. It was quite sad. We will really miss him. He and Lynda are supposed to be on the same ferry tomorrow so we hope it goes for them too as they have a flight to catch in a few days.

Mad cat lady

It's been a bit drizzly but amazingly mild. So, as there is still a lot of path required, Jill was out there again, mixing cement. Bit ...
