It was probably our windiest night here in 6 months. Yup we have been here 6 months already! Bentley didn't want to come in so we left him out, knowing he has plenty of places to go.
At 2.30am he decided to get a bit scared and sat on the windowsill crying to come in. Jill went to the new front door and called, but he hadn't yet sussed that the door opened the other side of the porch - the windowsill was getting the full battering of the wind. It was cold, so a jumper was needed.
Whilst getting a jumper, Morgan decided to investigate and popped out of the door too. All was well, as this side was protected, so no wind. All fine til she got over confident and jumped out of the building shadow straight into the full force of the wind. Then came the tumble weed moment as she rolled over and over across the garden. Needless to say she bolted for the door followed by Bentley. She didnt go out all day.
As Rob had an appointment, we went to Pullers Loch, right by Tesco, for a quick bird watch for the reported Citrine Wagtail. It wasn't showing so Jill went for a wander just as it flew over her head and landed on the beach a few feet away. There was also a nice heron about.
It rained a bit!
Michael had a shorter day and put the insulation in the bathroom in between the stud work. We could feel the difference. Thank you Michael.
Took a picture of it, and the undercoated stable door
This evening we headed to Walls for quiz night. It was hard as all questions were Scottish based but we came 3rd out of 8 so not too shabby. We won't say how far ahead the winning team were. No aurora on the way home but nice moon and we discovered we can pick up on the light pollution from Sullom Voe, many miles away.
