All aboard the skylark

 When feeding the chooks this morning Jill found a few skylarks below the house and thought nothing of it. By the time we went out mid morning the road out, driveway and fields were full of birds. Well over 200 skylarks, lots of meadow pipits, hundreds of starlings and a flock of Redpoll.



It was an amazing sight. They had all cleared through by the afternoon.

We had to collect some chairs from Lerwick so went and had a look at all the whooper and mute swans on Spiggie loch








 and then went back to Quendale Mill and the Bonellis was still there.
