Last night we headed out for a bit for Aurura hunting. It was cloudy but it did clear for a while.
A quick trip to Dale of Walls plantation did not turn up any birds today.
At lunchtime we joined Frank and Jess to visit some of the dykes he has built in the local area. It is taking us a while to get used to it, as Dykes in Norfolk are ditches! Frank and Alan will be rebuilding our walls as soon as they can fit us in.
This one is a great idea as it will hide an oil tank.
We carried on to Lerwick to catch the Glaucous gull in the harbour. There was a nice guillimot too.
Then it was down to Toab for Wryneck and Rosefinch.
The wryneck was quote distant.on the way home we stopped in Dalsetter to see a lovely garden in the hopes we could catch up with Yellow browed warblers. We didn't, but they had just caught a wood warbler in the mist nets and had ringed it.
Beautiful
After that it was finding a nice spot for a takeaway.
