Holiday time.

The last few days have seen several medical appointments for Rob. It's great they are being thorough but we wish they could have some of the appointments on the same day! Jill did manage to sneak in a specsavers appointment to order a replacement for her broken glasses. On the way home we caught up with a lone Common Dolphin in Weisdale Voe but we don't think it was that well.

We arrived home to find our airline discount cards had arrived for reduced fairs of the island. It was getting a bit to close for comfort but we have now booked the last journey in our Canada adventure. We have booked from Sumburgh to Edinburgh.

Today we headed to Lerwick for another appointment and ordered a replacement floorboard. Typically the old one is a different size from standard so they are making one at DITT. If it works we will get Planks for our lovely joiner, Michael, to cut down. It seems odd without Connor as he now has another job Mon to Thurs. The electricians, Nordri, are coming over on Wednesday so we popped in to say hi while we were in town.

A bit more organising for the trip this afternoon while Rob had a break from trying to get the software working to create the elevations needed for building consent. Jill did a bit more on the chicken run and painted a bit of the electricity shed.

Later on we took a quick drive to Huxter. While Jill was sitting on a rock watching the Loch this Arctic Skea flew in and landed 25ftvaway.

On the way home we had delightful views of one of the curlew families by the house. They were right by the side of the drive. There are 4 families. This one has 3 chicks.

Soooo cute

Scenic trip out

Still snow on the ground so there has been nothing going on with the house. Unfortunately the new tablet Rob has been on for his heart made...
