Trying something new

Michael our builder, was in Aberdeen today so we had Connor for some more sorting out of barns.

Jill distracted him first thing by suggesting something different. The wall by the side of the house had collapsed so she had started sorting the base out but needed a big anchor stone so Connor helped. 3 hours later it looked like this. Not bad for beginners. It's actually quite fun, but some if the stones are huge.

This is how it started

It'll be interesting to see how long it lasts.

The afternoon was spent back in the barn clearing out more rubbish. It feels like we are actually coming to the end. Another bonfire.

Later on Rob had a nurse appointment in Bixter so we stopped at Bridge of Walls on the way back.

Ringed plovers are everywhere and very confiding. The seals too were being nosey.

We then popped to Sandness and Bousta before driving home. We had a lovely rainbow at Bousta beach. Its a good short drive and we wete lucky to oick up a hare on the horizon. We have lots of Golden Plover near the house.
