Six

 Birding day!.

We went out via Lerwick to pop into Boots. It's a lovely place, there are little alleys everywhere.

We grabbed a quick coffee from the Peerie Cafe and headed off. We popped into lots of places and picked up 6 new species for Shetland - some of which would have been common down south but are unusual up here. Garden Warbler, House Martin, Kestrel, Bar-tailed Godwit and Black- tailed Godwit. Finally, we also caught up with the Long-tailed skua, on our 7th attempt, at Clumlie but no photos. We were well chuffed to have a very brief viewing of a Red necked Phalarope whilst there. Rob added Goosander

to His list as we watched 3 arguing over what looks like?, an eel.

We also had lots of other species and Jill found some more derilect mills near Clumlie. Apologies there are so many photos but we couldn't choose which ones to leave out.
