Does it make the heart grow stronger?. Not sure but we had a couple of days not blogging as Jill has had a bit of a cold so has been going to bed too early to blog!
Anyway we have had a fun filled few days. We volunteered to drop a lovely lady to Unst on Sunday as there are no buses so it was a good excuse to do a bit of ' where does that Road go'. We found several new places looking for migrants and still haven't caught up with a Golden Oriole. Halligarth walled garden is a treasure though.
It seems funny that we are having issues with planning trying to save a house and yet here is a historical house that is being left to die.
We also went to skaw beach which is up a steep road but is stunning. Sad to see so many dead gannets dying from avian flu.
This is the most northerly point of the number 1 cycle route which, interestingly, went past the house we had in Surlingham.
We went by the location of the new spaceport that is being built.
Say goodbye to the mouldy panelling in the bathroom. It's going!
Jill has had fun with a crowbar. Luckily the stone work behind isn't as bad as we feared it would be
Unfortunately all did not go smoothly as , whilst carefully draining the radiator, the fixing broke.
Bit of a pain but we managed to stop the flood. Luckily our lovely plumbers from L and J Hunter are coming tomorrow.
Getting close to having a bathroom.
