We had a difficult start to yesterday as we had to go to Aberdeen for a procedure on Robs eye. Unfortunately booking com have made a few errors recently and although we had closed for bookings so we could go, they booked a room. Luckily she was a lovely lady and was happy for Jim to settle her in.
So, we were up at five and out by just after 5.30am, heading for the airport. The flight was delayed, of course, as the original outward plane went tech and we left at 9am. It was the bumpiest landing ever but we got to the hospital ok. This sign at the airport coffee shop should have been an omen.
We did all the scans etc and went to see the consultant. When he asked what we were expecting today we knew it wasn't going well. It turns out the equipment has been broken all week so no procedure.
It was straight back to the airport and home again , sigh. What a waste of NHS money!
Good flight back though. Rob got his biscuit
