Super chicks

 Yesterday we managed to fit in a quick patch check and it was really good. We started with some smart ponies in a daisy field.

While we were watching them, we noticed a lapwing too 

And then......

What sweet peerie chicks 

 A bit further up Dale we spotted a hare.

Melby was busy with people so the waders were being disturbed but there were still some good photo opportunities 

On the way home our grouse friend came to see us.

At Staneyvatstoe we found a Whimbrel.

 

As we were about to pull away from the passing bay Jill spotted movement.

 So cute!

To top it all there were some close golden plover on the driveway.

Today Jill did some gardening. It's still quite chilly.
