We had a bit of a lie in and quiet day today doing some tidying up in our bit of the house.
At lunchtime we went to our patch as the weather was still pretty wild. We didn't fancy going too far.
The waves were really big at Melby and there were still plenty of gulls including a Kittiwake today. It was bringing debris into the shoreline so here was also loads of waders. Quite a few more purple sandpipers today.
We did find 2 chiffchaffs at Bousta
And we sat and watched the waves for a bit at Snaraness
Before heading home via Kinkwall. We did see a flock of around 25 jackdaws flying through. No photos as they went through at speed but exciting, as we have only seen 2 here. We did get a solitary golden plover too.
