Jill was out early looking for the American Golden Plover. Unfortunately, it appears to have gone, but there was so much to see. 128 Oystercatchers, wheatears, lapwings, whimbrel, Curlew, greylags, redshanks and 5 golden plover.
So you can see the difference, here is yesterday's American version as opposed to a normal male.
The wheatears were looking smart.
After a late breakfast, Rob went to the office and digitised some slides for a customer. They came out really well.
Jill washed some windows, got the strimmer out, filled and old Belfast sink with dizzy dizziness ( unfortunately the chooks think they are tasty, hence the wire!)
Then it was out with the jigsaw to turn an old box into a new Nesting box. They fight over the ones we have.
Mid afternoon, as the weather is still amazing we went to try and find the summer plummage Curlew sandpiper that was seen yesterday. We haven't seen a really nice summer one. It took a while to find as the light was harsh and there were lots of Dunlin to check.
Finally we found it. What a smart little bird!
It was a good evening.
On the way home we delivered the slides and memory stick to our customers in Aith.
