Another one from America

Bit of gardening today while Rob was working.

It was a surprise to find a painted Lady butterfly in the garden.

Rob did a batch of scanning and a canvas for local customers of Zetland Imaging.

Late afternoon  we decided to head to Hillwell for the smart looking Oriental turtle Dove. It started distant so Jill got distracted with lambs.

The bird did go for a fly and landed in a ploughed field. It showed much better there.

We paused on the way home when unfortunately we spotted an odd bird on our drive ( Jill needed the loo!)

Turned out it is another American visitor. American golden plover. Nice garden bird tick! Loo had to wait.

Unfortunately it stayed distant.

There were still many oystercatchers and curlew. Also a female golden plover.

Doesnt look much like a frog

Jill likes orchids so after not finding a frog orchid the first time, we headed back to Unst and the Keen of Hamar. We had a tip that there...
