Bruce's day off

Yup, we let him have a day off, this meant that Jill got let loose with a pot of gloop and some sticky stuff. It was time for some taping and filling. Although we left the tricky filling bit for Bruce's return.

This afternoon, we had a meeting in Lerwick which took a couple of hours. On our return, although the light was shocking, we spotted an otter. Whilst photographing it, some holiday makers came past. The lady was disabled so hadn't thought she would get to see one. We managed to get her on it and she totally reminded Jill of how she felt the first time, and in fact, every time she sees one. Shetland really does have its own magic.

Rob wanted to check Melby beach for Sanderling, but there weren't any.  There were 3 Great Northen Divers though. Interestingly not as close to summer plummage as yesterday's one at Grutness.

The light was very changeable and we gave up when it started raining quite hard.
