Well, we got to just outside the harbour at 6am . The sea had calmed greatly by midnight so there was very little swell- but the harbour guys decided we couldn't get into the harbour so we sat there til 10.30am.we didn't get off til 11am!! This sort of scuppered a lot of our plans so we had a rethink and went shopping first. B and q dash.
We then changed plans and stayed in Aberdeen visiting Hazelhead Park. A few redwings about and evidence of Red Squirrels but too many dogs about. The park is nice though. Some nice sculptures.
Look it's Geri!We then went for a lovely meal. ( Thanks Sam for the vouchers) at the Brig o Don. Then a night at the Dyce Hilton.
Good night, amazing breakfast ( waffles) bit then.......... Rob ended up in a heap on the floor as his chair leg split and snapped off. He was very lucky he didn't bang his head, but he did land badly on his dodgy arm. It turned out they knew the chair was broken and had glued it up - badly!
He was a bit shaken and sore, but OK.
We left and had a lovely restful morning at Rspb Strathbeg. Nice. Lots of woodland birds for Rob to sit and watch and Whoopers on the Loch.
We do miss the woodland birds a bit. Lovely to see corn buntings.
Robs appointment went OK. They will operate on his shoulder but not until his foot has totally healed.
Then it was off to Lossiemouth to the B and B. Norland, its lovely
Night night!
