Chinese

We got out early ish today to check the local patch. Good to see several purple Sandpipers at Melby and a Shetland Wren There was a big group of distant snow buntings too.

We also spotted a few hares.

We headed South via Tingwall where there were 2 Whooper Swans close to the Loch edge.

Lots of feeding Tysties in Lerwich harbour.

A nice Hooded Crow too and an odd razorbill

Then news broke of a Red Kite in the South so we decided to go and look. Saw a Merlin first but then the Red Kite wandered past.
A quick check of Grutness added Grey Heron for the day.

It was a good day so we treated ourselves to a Chinese before heading home. A nice meal at the Golden Coach.
