Disappointed it was not raining

Well, this meant we just had to go out instead of working on the house! It was actually a beautiful day.

The clouds were beautiful this morning.

First bird of the day was a small group of Grouse  right near the driveway.

We started with patch birding. Not finding much to start with. News came out of common dolphin following the Papa Stour Ferry so we quickly headed to Bousta. They were there, but a very long way out so no photos.

Good numbers of seals at Bousta.

It's a problem when you are a seal and want to chew your nails!

Then news came out of a Blyths Reed Warbler at Upper Melby - 2 minutes later we were peering over the wall into the garden. To start with just House Sparrows and Wrens....

Then the star appeared.

There was also a nice pied flycatcher on the fence.

Then our Friend Adrian found a Red Flanked Bluetail on Yell. It didn't show that well and bounced around all over the place.

There were also a few Goldcrests. What an awesome day.
