Stages of pointing

 The weather was a bit rubbish today so we stayed home. 

 We both did some cleaning up today getting rid of lots of sawdust upstairs. It's starting to look like a house.

Jill worked on the porch, doing some more chipping and then pointing a bit. 

Stage 1 rumbling

It takes ages digging out the old crumbly mortar, then  Stage 2 cleaning out.

Then stage 3 mortar goes in using local sand.

Stage 4 us scraping out most of what you out in!

Next stage us oiling and sealing.

Jill spent the In-between bits doing a bit of sanding and more work on the website.

Surprisingly by the evening the sun came out. Bit too late to do anything but it was a lovely sunset.
