Bruce - fire place creator extrodinaire

 It was pretty miserable first thing.

 Jill started by repeating stage 1 to 5 of pointing as she got the mix wrong yesterday and it came out too dark. Luckily it hadn't set! By the end if the day it was looking good though.

Jill and Rob went out early ish to go to Jewsons as they have a sale on for garden products. We have put in for a quote for end of line decking and paving. Hopefully it will be good.

While we were out  Bruce did some more work on the fireplace. It nearly made Jill cry and its still not quite finished.  

This is a rubbish shot of how it started. Will find a better one tomorrow from the PC folder. Yes it really was that lovely nicotine colour.

This is how it is now  it's going to be beautiful.

So far apart from Bruce's hard graft. It's cost nothing.

Rob did some messy stuff with the linseed oil. It does smell!
