Oops!

Yesterday was an interesting day. It was a bit wild!
We worked inside with Bruce continuing the lintels in the porch. Super craftsmanship.

It's all masked up ready to point up to it. We will tidy the stonework above too.

Jill linseeded the last bit of wall in there too.

Then it was upstairs. Rob working on the bannister and Jill starting on the floor, finally.

We weren't  convinced the floor would work but....    it's starting to look good with a lot of hard graft.

We popped out for a bit of wave watching. Actually, considering it was windy they weren't that big.

We got home about 6.30pm to an oops! The tower had toppled and stuck on the sky dish. Unfortunately this meant Jill had to call Bruce to help. Would have been stuck otherwise.. it's a bit dinged now.

Bruce helped Jill drop the tower away. It's mighty heavy! Then he went home.

Going indoors unfortunately the oops didn't finish there. Jill discovered a water leak coming from underneath the old kitchen sink.. we turned off the cold water but it still kept coming to make things worse Jill then started with a major migraine so had too lye down.

Rob had to call Bruce back. Poor chap. He helped turn the hot water off too as it was bubbling up through the concrete  floor.

Rob mopped up a bit and left it as we needed to buy some connectors.

Bruce came in early and Jack hammered the concrete. There was a hole in the pipe. Unfortunately the hammer holed the cold pipe to! Bruce went to get plumbing bits.

Today was a bit calner luckily but we had to go to Lerwick for Robs appointments and shopping. Good news, looks like his cataract will get fixed in 2 weeks. By the time we got back  Bruce had managed to get sky signal and fixed the leaks.whoop, whoop.

Don't know how he found time for more lintel work. awesome!

We spotted an otter on the way back from town.

This evening it was quiz-time , we made a team with Megan and Adam as our usual team was away. And we actually win!!

Weird couple of days but water leak gone.
