Eye eye

Finally after a long wait Rob had to go to the hospital to get his cateract sorted. His other one was done 3 years ago. So, there wasn't much time to do much. Jill managed to start undercoating the new woodwork in the porch and the bit above the window

We are very pleased with how it's coming along.

We left early as last time there was a complication and it didn't happen.  Its was good news this time so Jill left him and headed out to look for the Rustic Bunting at Quarff. The plan was, if it was there, we could get Rob on it later - but it wasn't.

There was a  Yellow Browed Warbler and  a Lesser Whitethroat.

Bit of an aerial display between a Raven, Hooded Crow and Sparrowhawk - but distant.

Then lots of Sparrows near the car. Noisy little bunch!

Jill got back to the hospital at collection time but Rob was yet to go in but he went in at 4pm. Finally it's done and we think it's successful. Think he will get some headaches after being unbalanced for so long. Lovely Dr though, very friendly and we are grateful he came over from Glasgow.

Then it was home and an early bed. With a bit less stress!
