Papa Stour

We really didn't pick the right day go go, but today we went to Visit Papa Stour for the first time. It had taken us a while to get space on the ferry and we managed to choose the wettest day for about 2 months. It rained for all but an hour in the morning. Luckily, this was just enough to have a nice soggy walk round the South of the island. West Voe is very pretty

You can see the micronation of Forvik from the cliffs.

Apparently it has it's own flag.

We did see some wildlife but it was all a bit soggy.

Jill found a heather and a new tiny plant by the runway, creeping willow.

It was a shame it rained so hard. There was really nowhere to go, it was even too wet to visit the stofa, so we spent the last few hours by the pier sea watching. Jill isn't a fan of reversing on to the ferry.
