Coming down.

Jim very kindly arranged his time to come in for another day before he's off too fit a bathroom and have some family time. He used the day so well. The window upstairs in the last bedroom to do came out to stop it leaking badly ( as you can see underneath) and he worked so hard he managed to tackle removing the edge bit so it sits right. Luckily this one didnt need reconcreting. It  then went back in.

It now fits in the hole better. He also left himself enough time to do some more in the porch.

Bruce finished up the ply and did a great job taping and filling upstairs.

Jill was out early painting but didn't get much done as it started raining.

Mid morning the scaffolders arrived to take down the scaffold, finally.

The cats will be upset at the loss of their catio.

We had a lovely visit from Wilma Sutherland who was driven over by one of our new friends, Daniel. She had known the house for a long time and was keen to see how it was coming along. Unfortunately, with lots of tru ks, we couldn't get her inside today but she liked what we have done so far. She is a lovely lady and it was a pleasure to meet her.

It's funny how a day goes and people never fail to surprise. Remember that later in the blog.

We then had a Dr's  appointment so headed out. The nurse has just been announced as wool week patron so we gave her our congratulations. We decided to continue on for some patch wildlife watching afterwards.

Jill's PTSD has been running riot recently with stress. Thank goodness for wildlife - it makes a huge difference getting outside with the camera.  It hit really hard today how important it is.

Whilst out, we stopped at one if our usual spots where we get seals, mergansers, herons and yes occasionally otters.  Jill has worked out certain spots on the bridge where she can get photos without disturbing them.  Actually last time she managed to jold up cars to let an otter cross. ( they can go underneath) .When a driver stopped we thought it would be the usual local chat about the wildlife or a tourist. Instead it was a person telling Jill not to photograph the otters. This caught up by surprise and actually made us a bit angry. Sometimes we like wildlife more than people!

We felt we had to leave so went onwards and actually found an otter anyway.

As you can see otters can blend in quite well.

We have decided, as it is our favourite place and one where Rob can see too, we will not be put off our spot.  Wildlife is for everyone and should not be owned.
