Summer's here

It was glorious all day so it was mostly outside jobs although Bruce and Jill did some finishing off on the new kitchen. Skirting boards glossed and door undercoated, last bit of coving up.

Remember how it looked to start with?

Then we all worked outside. Bruce and Jim o  the scaffold painting. Bruce also looked for the small leak in the roof. He did find a load of very old solastic where the leak is. We thought this bit of the roof had already been fixed. It will be now.

Jill worked on the peat store - nearly there, and cut some more firewood.

This afternoon Rob and Jill both did some outside painting.

After Robs usual Tuesday doctors appointment we came home the long way round. Lots of mergansers at the Bridge and a heron

Bonnie and  Clyde were also about but are getting harder to spot.

Jill had a quick walk at Huxter to look for puffins. One at sea, but none on the cliffs. Beautiful scenery and two red throated divers made it worth the walk. Found the likely spot for puffins so will have to go back.

While Bentley and Jill watched the sunset a Merlin took off from the small barn roof. Nice garden tick!
