Repairing repairs

It got to 16 degrees today and was lovely so we were all outside painting or fixing the roof. We still had a leak at the edge by the skue which is very disappointing as the original remit was too make the house watertight. Not good.

Bruce and Jim had discussed how to fix the problem. The solastic used was not sufficient or the right type and was not covering the holes along the edge. The tiles did not go underneath properly to stop water getting in. Bruce spent the day adding more cement to the skue so that it now covers the gap. Once it's dry the right sealant can go on. We are very grateful to both of them for their discussions  and skill at fixing someone else's error. We find this really very upsetting.

Jim, Jill and Rob painted the outside walls. We are starting to get a feel for how it's going to look.

We are changing the window for a sliding door which we have in the container.

Bentley still isn't well so he us now on  special diet in the hopes that helps.

As it was so nice we popped out for a bit. Lots of wheatears about and we found 2 Lesser black backed gulls at Norby amongst the gulls.
