Last night's aurora kept us up late, but it was worth it.
Today is the anniversary of leaving Aberdeen on the ferry for our hew life on Shetland. It was the best decision we ever made. It has gone so quickly and we have come so far.
Jim and Bruce finished all the plasterboarding in the lounge. It's looking good. They did have to vacate for a while as the lads from Ness Engineering came to clear the drains and look at the septic tank. Unfortunately the cap was off the drains for the new sink and kitchen. The smell came right up the pipe and by golly it was bad. There was a nice geezer of yuk came out of the tanks vent.
The pink is the fire board. Taping and filling tomorrow.
Jill went into town to buy some plumbing bits but didnt do a lot else as it drizzled just about all day. Watered in the new trees though.
Jill watched a you tube video and put up the bedroom blind today!
