What a team we have.
Nothing can be better than creating something stunning and functional but using recycled materials. We mentioned yesterday that the new mantlepiece was made using Thames Barge wood ( which apparently had been used for storage). Well, today the fire surround was completed using old roof slates. It took Jim and Bruce just about all day, with a bit of help from Jill.
Jim also found time to do some picking on the hall wall.
