Treat day

 It was another wintery, dreary day but not too cold, so we stayed and did some bits in the house ( after a bit of a lie in).

Rob did some tidying up, while Jill started moving  out of the old bedroom and clearing up in there, ready to start stripping it down.

Jim is off next week so came in today for a bit. He replaced the door surrounds upstairs and added a piece of wood in the hole. He also put the surround back on downstairs.



The hall is starting to look good. Jim also did some preparation on the upstairs wall.

We had to go and get some gas for the heater so, even though it was really gloomy, we headed out. The driveway was full of Lapwing, Teal, Turnstone and gulls.


 














We ended up watching see duck in Lerwick Harbour. There were hundreds of Eider and a few Long- tailed ducks along with seals. It really was almost dark all day.

To have a cheer up, we treated ourselves to a lovely curry from Saffron for our dinner. It was yum.
