Dodgy scaffolding

Very windy and wet overnight but we are already seeing the benefit of Bruce's work on the chimneys.  Still a bit of damp on the wall but not a waterfall. Once he reseats them it will be dry

It stayed windy all day so it wasn't good when a scaffolding board came loose and went vertical. Bruce and Patrick had to go up to the top to sort it. Another reason to be unimpressed with the company that put it up.

Patrick put the new latch on the cupboard door. We went for a different type so it is obvious it is a cupboard and he filled the plasterboard he put up.

Jim was back upstairs. The first room is almost ready for painting. Whoo hoo!

Bruce did a lovely job finishing the attic hole. The cats will be upset when it's closed up.

We went to Lerwick for a hospital appointment that we didn't realise had been cancelled. There was lots of surface water.

In the afternoon Jill managed to chisel out the last bits of rock and cement from the fireplace.
