Yell

Here is a picture of the new wheelie bin store as promised. Now hopefully they won't blow over.

Two hospital appointments for Rob and a bit of shopping, mostly DIY, done as quickly as possible so we could head over to Yell this afternoon. We had a quick lunch on the pier and were surprised to see the Yell ferry steaming into  the harbour. We wondered if they were collecting the Friday lunch time fish and chips

A juvenile black winged stilt has been on Yell for the last few days but we have been too busy to go. Only the 2nd for Shetland.

It was exactly where it had last been seen on Papil Loch.

On the way back we did some side road investigating and found a stunning beach at Gossaburgh.

We stopped off for a bit of shopping o  the way home and we're pleased that our new temporary solar lights were working. It gets mighty dark on the driveway. Bit difficult to are but it looks like the scaffolding is finally finished so we can get on with the chimneys. We have only had two thirds for the last 6 weeks.
