We have had two busy days on the house. Patrick finished the new wheelie bin store, replacing Jill's rubbish temporary attempt. Will take a photo tomorrow as forgot before it got dark. He has now moved on to a new chicken hoos. He has just one more door to finish which is exciting.
Michael starting kitting out the other back bedroom and the old kitchen, making room for plumbing as we have decided to put a bathroom upstairs. The ceiling has also been worked on.
Jill has been continuing to clear the peat store. There was no other fuel source for a long time on the island so this was essential. We are trying to store what we can to use it when we get our multi burner in. It does make us feel a little uncomfortable but we will not be using our 'plot' and cutting more. Any damaged peat blocks will be used in the garden.
Jill also started stripping the last door but we have decided this one was beyond repair, but that's not bad to only buy one.
We missed the orca in Walls Voe but went down to see what was about at the pier.
Just nice light new bird for the garden today - goldcrest and our first small flock of snow buntings flew over. We have seeded a patch up the hill to see if we get them to come in.
It was a lovely day today but getting wild into the night
