Michael and Patrick very kindly rescued and righted the crate. There is some damage but nothing too serious. It is now staked down until the digger arrives to put it in place. It was a grand job with some head scratching, levers, angles, fulcrum and gravity.
We ran out of milk so Jill popped to the shop. A quick 20 minute walk around the coast so as not to damage the knee anymore found curlew, 4 herons and a few other bits and bobs.
Jill rubbed down the last window, filled, undercoated and painted the last window on the back of the house. The two old ones do look different but this is just temporary.
This leads to today's then and now
Patrick finished the Nissan hut door so that is now wind tight, and Michael started plasterboarding inside.
An olive backed pipit popped up locally at Aith so we headed off. We stopped at Park Hall on the way through to see the new screen prints that had gone up. Awesome!. Park Hall is still for sale ( it was built around 1900 and has lots of BIG cracks in its concrete shell)
We did catch up with the pipit at Michaels Wood but it stayed hidden. What a lovely place it is. It was set up in memory of a local lad, Michael Ferrie, a young musician, and is now used as a memorial garden, park, nature habitat and dinosaur trail.
