It was alovely warm day so Jill went for a walk down to the Loch. There was nothing but blackbirds in the plantation and meadow pipits in the iris beds
There were a few curlews about by the Loch and it was good to see all four of the tufted duck family. Also 5 redshank and many greylag.
While down there Jill investigated the broch on the loch. It has been historically robbed out but you get a feel for how it looked by its shape.
As the weather was still warm, another pile of peat was layerd out to dry from the old store. We then went out for a pootle.
We started at Kergord where we found 5 goldcrest that where high up and playing hard to get.
After a lovely lunch at Bonhaga we headed south and went to investigated Maywick. What a stunning beach. There were a couple of guillimots fishing off shore.
On the way back we visited some of the small villages round Cunningsburgh and the harbour in Lerwick where the tysties were busy fishing.
