Getting warmer

Over the last few days Michael has put in two more windows and platerboarded the window recess in the bathroom.

We can order our first window covering now.

Yesterday wehad a quick visit to Sandness to see a great spotted woodpecker in a garden. We only had fleeting views and got pretty wet. On the way home we were delighted to find a family group of grouse near the house. Very dark and gloomy for pictures though.

Today Patrick carried on working on the doors, not many to do now, and painted some of the hall. It's looking good. Jill took to pointing the old kitchen, that will be our bedroom.

A big order arrived from Jewsons and it was a bit messy with damaged and missing items. We headed to Lerwick to sort it out. The manager was very helpful so hopefully we can get it sorted. While we were there we picked the kitchen for the self catering unit.
