Weather has been very wet and foggy for the last 2 days. We got a fair bit done. The cupboard door has been rehung to open outwards so you actually have a cupboard but was a bit twisty so it is being fixed but will look amazing. The old catch has been cleaned and repainted.
Michael spent more time on the roof but the exceptional wet August weather caused problems. It gave everyone a scare when his equipment malfunctioned and he slipped all the way down the roof landing awkwardly on the scaffolding. Luckily he is fine but has damaged his ankle so will need to rest it for a few days.
It has been so wet it was difficult to be outside but Jill collected 3 huge bags of broken concrete from the roof. We will be able to use this later on. It was too wet to point so it was back to sanding and paint stripping. Another two doors now stripped.
Jill popped to the shop late afternoon today and it was still raining and foggy. Lots of water in the burns
Birds starting to pass through on their migration another influx of wheatears and oh so many starlings. The feeder empties quickly!
There are about 400.
The sunset today was spectacular so hopefully a dry day tomorrow.
