Wet Weather Wander

Woke up to a very damp morning including inside the house. Hopefully now we have Michael back, we can get the other side of the roof dry and the chimneys fixed this next couple of weeks. Biiigggg puddle.

Jill spent the morning with a big hammer dismantling the old cooker. Bit sad really but it is so very rusty.

We missed  a bit off the blog from yesterday morning. The beighbours were having fun riding their horses on the newly cut field next door. It was great to see but I didn't have my camera at hand so it was being saved for another blog. Sorry Kaila

It carried on rainy so Jill carried on working indoors and left for Lerwick at lunchtime. The burns along the way were very full. This one at the end of Weisdale Voe is usual quite small.

Rob is doing very well and is now off intravenous anti biotics. His foot and leg is healing well but he still has a nasty cough.

On the way home it stopped raining for a short while so Jill turned off at Bixter to visit the Burn if Lunklet for the first time. The waterfall was lovely and there were lots of flowers.

It started drizzling again so it was back in the car for a new road investigation. The Aithness Road is pretty.

To finish a lovely drive there was a distant otter and a heron being dive bombed by a Terrick at Bridge of Walls.
