Vain Pheasant

This morning, you guessed it, was more stripping and sanding. One wall is almost ready to paint which will really help to lighten the room. It was so dark and dirty. So we have space to work, we have also started in the hallway. It's amazing how much better it looks already taking off the dark brown paint on the frames.

Jill had another go at getting the net out of the garden. It's huge and covers a large area but is under the grass. Hopefully one more session will get it out. She got out enough to plant another two trees before going for a walk.

Heading south towards Annifirth was a new walk.  There are plenty more cliffs full of Fulmars and rabbits. On the way back a quick stop off on the cliffs turned into about 30 mins watching an otter fishing a long way out. It was also good to see Black Guillimotts in the bay by Wick of Watsness.

Awesome lichens along the cliff.

During the evening Jill observed that Philip the pheasant was acting weird. He kept sidling up to the front door. It was difficult to see as the window looking that way is blown and cloudy but eventually we could see that he had found the mirror tiles we had put outside to go in the bin and he was staring at himself. He stood there for ages. If we can we will get a picture. The tiles are not going in the bin now.

Scenic trip out

Still snow on the ground so there has been nothing going on with the house. Unfortunately the new tablet Rob has been on for his heart made...
