Out of gas

Weather a bit better today but still quite cold. Looking forward to next week when its supposed to change.

A busy morning stripping more wallpaper and paint. - first time using the heat gun as we know the electrics can handle it !

The local shops open 12 to 5 on Sunday so when both gas heaters ran out of butane  we had our first  trip to the shop in Bixter to get some. We picked up one and then went a bit further on to visit Sandsound as there were supposed to be 3 Slavonian Grebes. We didn't find them but it was a beautiful place.

Jill heard her first Northern Wheatear singing. They have a l

ovely song.

Lots of derelict crofts and houses if anyone fancies a fixer upper. The views through the window of the one on the beach was amazing.

  1. Hi Both, Wow! Just found out about your blog and what you are doing (via Penny Clarke). Fantastic! What an exciting thing to do! Sue (who also loves Shetland) and I have idly talked about doing something similar, but I guess I'm just too commited to Cley to actually mean it. Keep up this great blog and we'll keep following. All the very best.

Scenic trip out

Still snow on the ground so there has been nothing going on with the house. Unfortunately the new tablet Rob has been on for his heart made...
